After taking back the town of Trost from the titans, Eren slumps into a three-day coma, only to wake to find himself prisoner the Survey Corps, Erwin Smith. Meanwhile, Smith has sent an expedition deep into Titan territory to find information on the Titans' origins.

While setting a trap for the mysterious Abnormal Titan, the Survey Corps are being surrounded by Titans who are preparing to attack.
