Description
When medical examiner Maura Isles' SUV stalls on a snowy mountain road, she and her friends are stranded in a remote village where twelve eerily identical houses stand dark and abandoned. Days later, Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli receives the grim news that Maura's charred body has been found in a mountain ravine. Shocked and grieving, she starts an investigation that plunges her into the twisted history of the village, where a gruesome discovery lies buried beneath the snow.
